Habits That Will Change Your Life

The way each of our days pan out, usually has something to do with the habits that many of us do on a daily basis. For example, if you’re in the habit of snoozing your alarm 5 times before clambering out of bed and whine as you do, you’re probably going to have a terrible day. However, if you’re in the habit of jumping out of bed like a kid on Christmas Day when your alarm goes off, and thinking it’s going to be a brilliant day, then your day is going to be pretty fabulous. Creating good habits and being consistent with it can completely change your life —

  1. Getting Up Early

Getting up early will almost definitely change your life for the better. Why would you want to get up early? Well, we tend to continue each day as we go on. You’re going to have a better day if you can accomplish certain tasks in the morning before anybody else is up. Read or watch the news, have a relaxing breakfast and have a hot shower! The most successful people get up earlier than everybody else. Getting things done while everybody else is sleeping can actually be very therapeutic, and you get a head start on your day. You can then spend more time relaxing later on.

  1. Noticing The Good In Your Life

The majority of people tend to notice all of the ‘bad’ things in their life. Things that aren’t going the way they planned it, or things that they think they lack. Avoid doing this at all costs! The more you think that it’s a terrible day, the more it will be. If you think more about the good things in your life, the things you are grateful for and the things going right, the better your day will get. It can be difficult to train your brain to focus on the good but it can be done one step at a time.

  1. Becoming An Optimist

Becoming an optimist is a good habit to start of. Instead of looking at the glass half empty, look at it half full. Think of things that could go right, rather than things that could go wrong. Believe me, it is never going to be easy but it will be worth it. People who always look on the negative side of things will most likely be unhappy. If you take a moment, you’ll realize that this happened to you once or twice.

  1. Eating Foods Full Of Energy

Eating foods that fill you with energy will set you up for the day. Don’t starve yourself especially when you have an active lifestyle or if you are going to work. No one is productive in an empty stomach. Eating plenty of vegetables, nuts, seeds, fruits, nut butters, and things like these will keep you going all day long, and make you feel amazing. Get into the habit of eating healthy, you’ll never regret it!

  1. Drinking Lots Of Water

Putting water in your body is almost like watering a plant. Drinking liters of water each day will nourish you, hydrate you, and make you feel amazingly good. You would also start looking better and refreshed! You can buy bottled water or use water filters like Propur water filter.

  1. Dressing In Clothes You Love

The way we look isn’t the most important or interesting thing about us. You don’t need to keep up with the latest fashion trends or dress like a celebrity. The most important thing is to feel comfortable with what you wear. This will make you feel better, and helps you react better to the world. Dressing in clothes you love can completely change your attitude.

Did you know that we are the average of the 5 people we spend the most time with? This means you become like the people you spend time with. If you don’t want to be a negative person, don’t spend time with negative people. Avoid people who bring down your energy and make you feel like rubbish. This doesn’t mean get rid of them. You just need to make sure your energy is high enough to not be affected by them. 

  1. Saying Yes To Fun

There are so many reasons we can find to say ‘no’ to fun as we get older. But look at children. They would never turn down an opportunity to have fun! As adults, we feel we want to save energy, money, and other things instead of going out and living in the moment. Make it a habit of saying yes to fun. The more fun you have in your life, the more you’ll love your life! You don’t have to be at a theme park to have fun either. You can choose to have fun at home on your own.

Exercising in the morning will get those endorphin flowing. It’ll make you happier, healthier, and you’ll feel immediately awake and unstoppable. What could be better?

  1. Getting Stuff Done

When you get up in the morning, start getting things done. The more you get done first thing, the more you’ll tend to get done later on. If you start off the day procrastinating, the more you’ll do it later on. Setting the tone for your day is a big deal!

 

Bear in mind that you’ll feel however you think you’ll feel when you wake up in the morning. If you go to sleep thinking, ‘I’m going to hate getting up tomorrow. I’ll be so tired’ – then chances are, you will. Keep those thoughts positive! Good habits equals to happy days. 😉
